Schul was a German-Jewish composer who came to Prague, seeking a haven from Nazi persecution. But in 1941 he was rounded up and sent to the Terezin concentration camp, where his touching setting of the Sabbath evening prayer was sung. Useful for Holocaust programs which reference composers who died
